Pursuant to subsection
12(1) of the
Municipalities Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap M-13, the Town of
Kensington has filed an application with the Minsiter of Communities, Land
and Environment to extend the Town's municipal boundary to include
Parcel Number 465708, consisting of approximately 0.34 acres, as
outlined below:
The
application was filed as a result of a request received from the owners
of parcel number 465708 to have their property annexed into the Town of
Kensington's municipal boundaries for the purpose of receiving municipal
water and sewer service.
PUBLIC HEARING
In
accordance with Section 13 of the
Municipalities Act,
the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission has been directed by the
Minister of Communities, Land and Environment to conduct a public
hearing in or near the area to be annexed for the purpose of reviewing
the application.
The
public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the Kensington
Town Hall, 55 Victoria Street, commencing at 12:00 noon on Thursday,
March 3, 2016.
Residents of the Town, residents of the
area to be annexed and any person affected by the application are
invited to attend and make representation concerning the application.
