NOTICE OF PROPOSAL Greater Three Rivers Area Municipality

that the
Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") has received a
proposal to establish the Greater Three Rivers Area municipality (the "Proposal") pursuant to section 15 of the
Municipal Government Act, RSPEI 1988, c M-12.1 (the "Act"). BACKGROUND The applicants propose to establish the Greater Three Rivers Area municipality. Existing municipalities and unincorporated areas which may be affected include the incorporated municipalities of Brudenell, Cardigan, Georgetown, Lorne Valley, Lower Montague, Montague, and Valleyfield, and the unincorporated communities in the Cardigan, Georgetown, and Montague Fire Districts, as outlined in the map below. The proposal states that the estimated population of
the area that may be affected is approximately 7,500 individuals. HOW TO SEE THE PROPOSAL A copy of the proposal can be obtained by clicking here. HOW TO
OBJECT OR COMMENT Any individual or municipality wishing to object to
the proposal can do so by submitting Form MGA-MR-2 (Objection to a Proposal
to Establish, Restructure, Dissolve a Municipality) (the "Objection Form")
to the Commission prior to Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. The Objection Form can be

office located on the 5th Floor of the National Bank Tower, 134 Kent Street,
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Any individual or municipality wishing to comment on
the Proposal, other than to object, may submit written comments to the
Commission prior to Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
