Pursuant to subsection
12(1) of the
Municipalities Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap M-13, the
Town of O'Leary has filed an application with the Minister of
Communities, Land and Environment to extend the Town's municipal
boundaries to include the following parcel identification (PID) numbers:
all of 43562, a portion of 43505 and the remaining portions of 43661,
474593, 727859, 42556, 672469, as outlined below:
The
application was filed by the Town of O'Leary as the Town owns land
not within Town boundaries, namely PID 43562 and 43661. PID 43661 is
designated for residential development by the Town and PID 43562 is the
location of the Town's sewer lagoon. The other properties described
above are located adjacent to or between Town owned property and are
included in this annexation application.
PUBLIC HEARING
In
accordance with Section 13 of the
Municipalities Act,
the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission has been directed by the
Minister of Communities, Land and Environment to conduct a public
hearing in or near the area to be annexed for the purpose of reviewing
the application.
The
public hearing will be held at the Town Office
in The Community Complex, 18 Community Street, commencing at 12:00 noon
on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Residents of the Town, residents of the
area to be annexed and any person affected by the application are
invited to attend and make representation concerning the application.
