PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, July 9, 2009 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009:

  • Gasoline prices will decrease by 4.5 cents per litre (cpl);
  • Diesel prices will decrease by 2.5 cpl;
  • There will be no change in furnace, stove oil or propane prices at this time.

Including taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 96.7 cpl to 98.8 cpl.

Substantial reductions in wholesale rack pricing observed since July 1 have allowed an unscheduled price reduction at this time.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on July 15, 2009.
