PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, October 23, 2009 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2009:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 5.0 cents per litre (cpl);
• Furnace oil and stove oil prices will increase by 4.5 cpl and;
• Diesel prices will increase by 5.0 cpl.  

Including taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 98.9 cpl to 101.0 cpl.

Substantial increases in fuel supply prices since October 15^th necessitate an unscheduled price adjustment.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on November 1, 2009.
