PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, June 1, 2010 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010:

  • Gasoline prices will increase by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl);

  • Diesel prices will increase by 1.0 cpl; and

  • There will be no change in furnace oil, stove oil or propane prices at this time.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 97.7 cpl to 99.8 cpl.

Gradual increases in the wholesale market prices of gasoline and diesel products over the past number of days have necessitated the price increases announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on June 15, 2010.
