PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, December 1, 2010 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010:

  • Gasoline prices will increase by 2.0 cents per litre (cpl);
  • There will be no change in diesel, furnace or stove oil prices; and
  • Propane prices will increase by 0.8 cpl for Superior Propane, by 0.6 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and by 0.6 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 105.7 cpl to 107.8 cpl.  The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 84.8 cpl.

Increases in the wholesale market price of gasoline and propane since the Commission's last adjustment necessitate the petroleum product price increases announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on December 15, 2010.
