Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, December 1, 2011 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011:

  • Gasoline prices will decrease by 2.5 cents per litre (cpl);
  • Furnace and stove oil prices will decrease by 2.6 cpl;
  • Diesel prices will decrease by 3.0 cpl; and
  • There will be no change in propane prices.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 114.9 cpl to 117.0 cpl.

Decreases in wholesale market prices since the Commission’s last adjustment now allow the petroleum product price decreases announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on December 15, 2011
