PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, February 15, 2012 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012:

  • Gasoline prices will increase by 3.1 cents per litre (cpl); and

  • There will be no change in the price of diesel, propane or furnace and stove oil.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 125.0 cpl to 127.1 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 106.3 cpl., plus GST.

Continued increases in the wholesale price of gasoline observed since the Commission made its last price adjustment have necessitated the petroleum price increase announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on March 1, 2012.
