PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, September 15, 2012 —  The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012:

  • Gasoline prices will increase by 3.7 cents per litre (cpl); and
  • There will be no change in furnace oil, stove oil, diesel or propane prices at this time.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 133.0 cpl to 134.1 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 105.3 cpl plus GST.

Significant increases in the wholesale price of gasoline over the past two weeks now necessitate the petroleum price adjustment outlined above.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on October 1, 2012.
