PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, October 10, 2014 The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2014:

  • Gasoline prices will decrease by 5.0 cents per litre (cpl);
  • Furnace and stove oil prices will decrease by 2.5 cpl;
  • Diesel prices will decrease by 1.5 cpl; and
  • There will be no change in propane prices at this time.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 129.5 cpl to 130.6 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 99.8 cpl plus tax.

Significant decreases in the wholesale price of all three petroleum products observed over the past week now afford the opportunity for this unscheduled price adjustment.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on October 15, 2014.
