PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, June 15, 2015 The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2015:

  • Gasoline prices will increase by 3.0 cents per litre (cpl); and
  • There will be no change in furnace and stove oil, diesel or propane prices at this time.

Pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets including adjustments for taxes will now range from 120.2 cpl to 121.3 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 83.7 cpl plus tax.

Continued escalation of wholesale gasoline prices over the past two weeks primarily related to increased seasonal demand and associated speculative activity now necessitate the pricing adjustments announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on July 1, 2015.
