PETROLEUM PRICING
 



Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, August 1, 2017 The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017:

  • Gasoline prices will increase by 2.9 cents per litre (cpl);
  • Furnace and stove oil prices will increase by 2.9 cpl;
  • Diesel prices will increase by 4.0 cpl; and
  • Propane prices will decrease by 0.8 cent per litre (cpl) for Superior Propane, by 0.8 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and increase by 1.0 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 106.8 cpl to 108.0 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 69.9 cpl to 71.3 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 72.3 cpl, plus tax.

Increases in the wholesale price of gasoline, furnace oil and diesel over the past two weeks now necessitate the price adjustments announced today. 

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on August 15, 2017.
