PETROLEUM PRICING



Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, June 15, 2018 The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018:

  • Gasoline prices will decrease by 3.8 cents per litre (cpl);

  • Furnace and Stove Oil prices will decrease by 1.6 cpl;

  • Diesel prices will decrease by 3.0 cpl; and

  • Propane prices will decrease by 0.7 cents per litre (cpl) for Superior Propane, by 2.5 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc. and will increase by 1.3 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will continue to range from 127.9 cpl to 129.0 cpl. Pump prices for diesel will range from 134.2 cpl to 135.4 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 80.5 cpl to 80.9 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 96.1 cpl, plus tax.

Improved wholesale pricing of all petroleum products over the past two weeks enables the price adjustments announced today.

The Commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on July 1, 2018.
