PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, November 1, 2018 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018:

• Gasoline prices will decrease by 2.6 cents per litre (cpl);

• There will be no change in furnace and stove oil prices;

• Diesel prices will decrease by 1.5 cpl; and

• Propane prices will decrease by 0.5 cpl for both Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and  Superior Propane, and by 1.1 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will range from 117.9 cpl to 119.0 cpl. Pump prices for diesel will range from 141.7 cpl to 142.8 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 82.2 cpl to 83.5 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 103.6 cpl, plus tax.

Reduced wholesale pricing observed over the past two weeks allows for the pricing adjustments announced today.

The Commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on November 15, 2018.
