PETROLEUM PRICING

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, May 4, 2019 The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum prices in an unscheduled price adjustment, effective 12:01 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019:

  • Gasoline prices will decrease by 3.0 cents per litre (cp);

  • There will be no change in furnace, diesel or propane prices at this time.

Including Including taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 131.1 cpl to 132.3 cpl.

This reduction is a result of a drop in the market price of petroleum. However, petroleum prices on the New York Mercantile Exchange are seeing volatile shifts with prices going up and down. Gas analysts expect this volatility to continue into the summer.
