PETROLEUM PRICING

harlottetown, Prince Edward Island, December 18, 2020 – The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum prices effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2020:

  • The price of gasoline, furnace oil, and diesel will each increase by 2.0 cents per litre (cpl); and

  • Propane prices will increase by 1.2 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing; by 1.5 cpl for Superior Propane; by 0.3 cpl for Island Petroleum; and by 1.3 cpl for both Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum.

At self-serve outlets, prices for regular unleaded gasoline will range from 102.8 to 104.0 cpl and prices for diesel will range from 111.6 to 112.7 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil is 80.2 cpl.

Maximum propane prices will range from 75.5 to 76.7 cpl.

The Commission wishes to advise the petroleum industry and the public of changes to the petroleum pricing schedule during the holidays. Pricing adjustments, normally made every Friday, will occur on Thursday, December 24, 2020 and Thursday, December 31, 2020. The regular schedule of Friday pricing adjustments will resume January 8, 2021.
