CAVENDISH SEWER UTILITY

APPLICATION TO INCREASE SANITARY
SEWAGE RATES & CHARGES

TAKE NOTICE that the Commission has received an application from the Cavendish Sewer Utility for approval to change its current structure of rates and charges, effective January 1, 2009.

THE UTILITY'S APPLICATION proposes to:

1.  introduce separate sewer rates for customers located in the Seawood Estates subdivision; and

2.  increase annual sewer rates overall.

The Utility's suggested changes to its annual sewer charges are summarized below:

IF YOU WISH TO SUBMIT COMMENTS on the application, please write to the Commission at the address provided. Written comments must be received no later than Friday, June 19, 2009.  NOTE: DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS EXTENDED TO JUNE 26, 2009.

FOLLOWING PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, the Commission will commence its review and analysis of the Utility's suggested rate changes.

THE NECESSITY OF A PUBLIC HEARING will be decided by the Commission following its initial review of the filing and the written comments received concerning this application.  If a public hearing is to be held, a Notice of Hearing will be published.  Otherwise, the Commission will finalize its review and issue an Order in writing.  Any Orders issued in this matter will be published on the website at www.irac.pe.ca.
