The Community of Crapaud Water Utility Corporation

TAKE NOTICE that the Crapaud Water Utility (the Utility) has filed an application with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the Commission) for approval to increase itsannual water rates and charges, effective January 1, 2013. Following is a summary of the Utility's proposed rates:

THE UTILTY'S REQUEST FOR RATE RELIEF is related to recent improvements to the central water system in the Sherwood Forest Subdivision located in Crapaud. Work included the upgrading of the existing well, installation of a new supply well and the construction of a new supply building, complete with storage, chlorination and related mechanical and electrical controls.

IF YOU WISH TO COMMENT on the application, please write or email the Commission at the address below. Comments from interested persons must be received by Friday, October 25, 2013 in order to be considered.

THE NECESSITY OF A PUBLIC HEARING will be decided by the Commission following its initial review of the filing and the written comments received concerning this application. If a public hearing is to be held, a Notice of Hearing will be published. Otherwise, the Commission will finalize its review in the form of a written Order. Any Orders issued in this matter will be posted on the Commission’s website at www.irac.pe.ca.
