UW18302 GEORGETOWN SEWAGE COLLECTION AND TREATMENT CORPORATION Application to Increase Sewer Rates TAKE NOTICE that the Georgetown Sewage Collection and Treatment Corporation (the Utility) filed an application with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the Commission) seeking approval to increase sewer rates. THE APPLICATION proposes to phase in increases over time, starting May 1, 2011. Currently, the Utility charges $32.00 per unit, every four months (or $96.00 per year). In addition, the Utility has a frontage rate in effect of $0.20 per linear foot (where applicable). Following is a schedule of the Utility's proposed changes:
Total annual charges per unit will be $127.68 in 2011; $220.65 in 2012; and $233.64 in 2013, plus frontage charges, where applicable. THE NECESSITY OF A PUBLIC HEARING will be decided by the Commission following its initial review of the filing and the written comments received concerning this application. If a public hearing is to be held, a Notice of Hearing will be published. Otherwise, the Commission will finalize its review in the form of a written Order.
