MURRAY HARBOUR SEWER UTILITY

TAKE NOTICE that the Murray Harbour Sewer Utility (the Utility) has filed an application with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the Commission) seeking approval to decrease its annual sewer rates and charges from $500.00 to $469.00 per unit, effective April 1, 2010.

In addition, the Utility is proposing to eliminate the pro-rating of seasonal customers’ bills.

The Commission encourages ratepayers to contact the Utility for information on how their bill may be affected by the proposed changes.

IF YOU WISH TO COMMENT on this application, please write to the Commission at the address provided. In order to be considered, comments must be received no later than Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Written submissions must also be copied to the Utility. Comments received will become part of the public record for this file.

THE NECESSITY OF A PUBLIC HEARING will be determined by the Commission following receipt of the written comments in this matter. If a public hearing is held, a further Notice will be published advising the date and time the hearing is to take place. 

ANY COMMISSION ORDERS issued in this matter will be made available on IRAC’s website at www.irac.pe.ca.
