Maritime Electric Company Limited Approval to Establish Depreciation Rates for Asset Classes
TAKE NOTICE
that Maritime Electric Company, Limited ("Maritime Electric" or the "Company") has filed a request to adjust depreciation rates and begin amortization of an accumulated underpreciated reserve variance with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission"). The Commission's docket number is UE21603.
DETAILS
The application, based on a study by Gannett Fleming, proposes changes to the depreciation rates used by the Company and calculates an accumulated under depreciated variance requiring adjustment. The following table outlines the requested depreciation rate adjustments:

The depreciation adjustment proposed (both depreciation rate changes and accumulated reserve variance) would result in an increase of $4.098 million in the annual revenue requirement. This increased revenue requirement will require a one-time rate increase of 2.1% based on a pre-adjustment revenue requirement of $195 million.

HOW TO COMMENT AND ASK QUESTIONS
Any person wishing to comment on the filing can do so by writing to the Commission at the address below. In order to be considered, comments must be received by Friday, October 2, 2015.
Persons wishing to pose questions to Maritime Electric on the filing may do so by sending their questions, in writing, to the Company on or before Friday, September 11, 2015. Questions posed to
Maritime Electric must be answered by the Company, in writing, on or before Friday, September 25, 2015. Copies of both written questions and written answers must be copied to, or filed with,
the Commission not later than Friday, October 2, 2015 in order to be considered.

A public hearing will not be held unless the Commission determines a hearing is necessary. If there is a public hearing, a Notice of Hearing will be published.
