— The
Island
Regulatory
and
Appeals
Commission
announced
today that it has issued Decision and Order No. P.000526 relating to an
application made by Irving Oil Limited under the Petroleum Products Act
to change the class of license issued with respect to the New London
Service Station from “service station” to “general merchant”,
which application was the subject of a public hearing held on 25 April
2000.
Approval
in principle has been granted this application, conditional on
compliance with the conditions set forth in the Decision and Order.
Once the necessary alterations have been completed, this outlet
would then offer full-serve motor fuels dispensing in conjunction with a
c-store type of operation, with no automotive bay services to be
offered.
