Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, January 31, 2002 — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission announced today that wholesalers have been authorized to decrease furnace oil prices by 1.8 cents per litre (cpl). Approved prices of gasoline, diesel fuel and stove oil will not change from their current levels at this time. Irving Oil Limited received approval to decrease, by 3.5 cpl, and Superior Propane Inc. received approval to decrease, by 3.7 cpl, all propane prices contained in their respective propane pricing schedules based on decreased product acquisition costs.
