PUBLIC HEARING
MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY EXTENSION
APPLICATION #LB98001
COMMUNITY OF O'LEARY

Pursuant to Section 12.(1) of the Municipalities Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap M-13 the Community of O'Leary has applied to the Minister of Community Affairs and Attorney General to extend its municipal boundary to include a 1.5 acre part of Parcel #40204. The subject parcel is formerly part of Parcel #40188.

The application states that the reason for the expansion is a direct request from the property owner, Ferguson's Funeral Home Ltd. The intended use is a funeral home and chapel.

PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with Section 13 of the Municipalities Act, the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission has been directed by the Minister of Community Affairs and Attorney General to conduct a public hearing in or near the area to be annexed for the purpose of reviewing the application.

The public hearing will be held in the Boardroom of the O'Leary Community Complex, O'Leary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 1998. Residents of the Municipality and the area to be annexed and any person affected by the application are invited to attend and make representation concerning the application.
