NOTICE ALLOWABLE PERCENTAGE RESIDENTIAL RENT INCREASE FOR 2002 In accordance with the Rental of Residential Property Act, the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission has determined that the allowable percentage increase for residential rent during 2002 shall be two and one quarter (2.25) percent. Lessors who believe their special circumstances justify a rent increase above the allowable percentage may apply to the Director of Residential Rental Property pursuant to Section 23 of the Act. Forms related to rent increases within or above the allowable percentage and general information regarding the Rental of Residential Property Act are available from the office of the Director, at any of the Access P.E.I. locations or at the Director's website at www.irac.pe.ca/rental/.
