BORDEN-CARLETON WATER AND SEWERAGE UTILITY

APPLICATION TO IMPLEMENT METERED
WATER AND SANITARY SEWER RATES & CHARGES

TAKE NOTICE that the Borden-Carleton Water and Sewerage Utility has applied to the Commission for approval to implement metered water and sanitary sewer rates, effective July 1, 2005.

THE APPLICATION includes the following proposals:

 Residential water customers will be charged an annual flat rate of $194.60.   Residential sewer customers will be charged an annual flat rate of $124.48.  If approved, the combined annual flat rate for residential customers who receive both services will decrease from $330.00 to $319.08.

 Metered water customers using a 3/4" meter will be charged a monthly base charge of $17.80, plus a consumption charge of $0.18 per cubic metre.  Metered sewer customers using a 3/4" meter will be charged a monthly base charge of $11.46, plus a consumption charge of $0.11 per cubic metre. The combined monthly base charge for 3/4" metered water and sewer customers will be $29.26, plus a consumption charge of $0.29 per cubic metre.

If approved, a 3/4" metered water and sewer customer consuming 500 cubic metres (approximately 110,000 Imperial gallons) per annum would be billed approximately $496.16.  Other metered customers wishing to know the details on how the rate proposal will impact them should contact Clark Baglole at the address below.
