Interim Decision and Order


WHEREAS further to the Commission's Interim Order No. P.911218, Mr. Eugene P. Rossiter, on behalf of Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited ("Atlantic"), filed an application under the Petroleum Products Act, supra, to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") on 9 January 1992 requesting approval of decreases in the price of propane to its customers amounting to 2.0 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS a declaration made in the supporting Affidavit of Anne-Marie van de Brand-Gammon, Comptroller of Atlantic, dated 6 January 1992 indicated that propane acquisition costs would decrease on 10 January 1992 by 2.0 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS supporting information by way of copy of a letter dated 3 January 1992 to Atlantic from Mr. Robert Johnston of Irving Oil Limited ("Irving"), its supplier, confirmed that Irving would in fact decrease the price of propane to Atlantic on 10 January 1992 by 2.0 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS the Commission considered this application and supporting documentation this date;

AND WHEREAS the Commission has scheduled an in camera hearing for 4 February 1991 for purposes as set out in its Interim Order No. P.911218;

THE COMMISSION HEREBY ORDERS THAT the propane prices to be charged by Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, 13 January 1992, be decreased by 2.0 cents per litre in accordance with Appendix "A" appended to this Interim Order, until otherwise ordered by the Commission.
