Interim Order


WHEREAS further to the Commission's Interim Order No. P.920110 and the in camera hearing into propane pricing by Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited ("Atlantic") conducted on 7 February 1992, Mr. Eugene P. Rossiter, on behalf of Atlantic, filed an application under the Petroleum Products Act, supra, to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") on 22 June 1992 requesting approval of increases in the price of propane to its customers amounting to 1.0 cent per litre;

AND WHEREAS a declaration made in the supporting Affidavit of Anne-Marie van de Brand-Gammon, Comptroller of Atlantic, dated 19 June 1992 indicated that propane acquisition costs would increase on 19 June 1992 by 1.0 cent per litre;

AND WHEREAS supporting information by way of copy of a letter dated 18 June 1992 to Atlantic from Mr. Robert Johnston of Irving Oil Limited ("Irving"), its supplier, confirmed that Irving would in fact increase the price of propane to Atlantic on 19 June 1992 by 1.0 cent per litre;

AND WHEREAS the Commission was earlier advised by the Applicant's Counsel that an increase in propane acquisition costs effective 24 April 1992 of .56 cents per litre was absorbed by the Company;

AND WHEREAS the Commission considered this application and supporting documentation this date;

THE COMMISSION HEREBY ORDERS THAT the propane prices to be charged by Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited, effective 12:01 a.m., Saturday, 27 June 1992, be increased by 1.0 cent per litre in accordance with Appendix "A" appended to this Interim Order, until otherwise ordered by the Commission.
