Interim Decision and Order

WHEREAS further to the Commission's Interim Order No. P.930301, Counsel for Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited ("Atlantic"). filed with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") on 30 March 1993 an application of the same date requesting permission to decrease the price of propane to Atlantic's customers in the amount of 0.77 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS a declaration made in the supporting Affidavit of Mr. Douglas Goddard, General Manager of Atlantic, dated 30 March 1993 indicated that propane acquisition costs have decreased by 0.77 cents per litre on 30 March 1993, which Affidavit was supported by a copy of a letter to this effect dated 29 March 1993 from Andrew J. Edwards of Irving Oil Limited (Irving), its supplier;

AND WHEREAS the Commission considered this Application and supporting documentation this date; and granted approval to the requested decreases;

AND WHEREAS the matter of the pricing for the category "Irving Oil Dispenser Operators" which was given earlier interim approval has not yet been finally determined; interim approval of the requested decrease in rates is hereby granted with a final decision with respect to this category delayed until 1992 statistical data with respect to these operators has been properly assessed;

THE COMMISSION HEREBY ORDERS THAT the propane prices to be charged by Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, 2 April 1993, be decreased by 0.77 cents per litre, in accordance with Appendix "A" to this Interim Order, until otherwise ordered by the Commission.

AND THE COMMISSION FURTHER ORDERS THAT a copy of the invoice for the next delivery of propane to Atlantic by Irving following the date of the decrease in acquisition costs be filed with the Commission on or before 12 April 1993.
