Decision and Order


WHEREAS further to the Commission's Order No. P.930720, Counsel for Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited ("Atlantic"). filed with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") on 2 August 1993 an application of the same date requesting permission to decrease the price of propane to Atlantic's customers in the amount of 0.0034 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS a declaration made in the supporting Affidavit of Mr. Brian Woodward, Comptroller of Atlantic, dated 29 July 1993 indicated that propane acquisition costs have decreased by $0.0034 cents per litre on 30 March 1993, which Affidavit was supported by a copy of a letter dated 23 July 1993 from Andrew J. Edwards of Irving Oil Limited, Atlantic's supplier, confirming that the delivered price to Atlantic would decrease by 0.34 cents/litre effective 28 July 1993;

AND WHEREAS amendments to this application were filed with the Commission by the Applicant on 5 August 1993;

AND WHEREAS the Commission considered this Application and supporting documentation this date; and granted approval to the requested decreases;

THE COMMISSION HEREBY ORDERS THAT the propane prices to be charged by Atlantic Speedy Propane Limited, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, 9 August 1993, be decreased by 0.34 cents per litre, in accordance with Appendix "A" to this Order, until otherwise ordered by the Commission.

AND THE COMMISSION FURTHER ORDERS THAT a copy of the invoice for the next delivery of propane to Atlantic by Irving following the date of the decrease in acquisition costs be filed with the Commission on or before 15 August 1993.
