IN THE MATTER of an application filed under Section 32 of the Petroleum Products Act, supra, by Superior Propane Inc. for decreases in its propane pricing schedule.

Decision and Order


WHEREAS further to the Commission's Decision and Order No. P.931102-2, Superior Propane Inc. ("Superior"). filed on 13 December 1993 with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") an application requesting permission to decrease the price of propane to its customers in the amount of 1.2 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS a declaration made in the supporting Affidavit of Ralph Wilson, Branch Manager of Superior, dated 13 December 1993 indicated that propane acquisition costs had decreased by a total of 1.2 cents per litre since Superior's current prices were approved;

AND WHEREAS the above-noted Affidavit was supported by Schedule "A" entitled "Sarnia-Amoco Wholesale Propane Posted Price", which Schedule indicated that propane acquisition costs had decreased by 0.5 cent per litre effective 30 November 1993 and by 0.7 cent per litre effective 10 December 1993;

AND WHEREAS the Applicant submitted with its application Schedule "B", which indicated currently authorized prices as well as proposed prices;

AND WHEREAS the Commission considered this Application and supporting documentation this date;

THE COMMISSION HEREBY ORDERS that the propane prices to be charged by Superior Propane Inc., effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, 17 December 1993, be decreased by 1.2 cents per litre, in accordance with Appendix "A" to this Order, and these prices shall remain in effect until otherwise ordered by the Commission.

AND THE COMMISSION FURTHER ORDERS that a copy of invoices for the next delivery of propane to Superior following the effective dates of the decreases in propane acquisition costs, being 30 November and 10 December 1993, be submitted to the Commission on or before 10 January 1994.
