Decision and Order


WHEREAS further to the Commission's Decision and Order No. P.941206, Superior Propane Inc. ("Superior"). filed with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") on 10 August 1995 an application requesting permission to decrease the price of propane to its customers in the amount of 1.35 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS a declaration made in the supporting Affidavit of J. C. (Joe) Erskine, Market Manager of Superior, dated 8 August 1995 indicated that propane acquisition costs had decreased by a total of 1.35 cents per litre since Superior's current prices were approved;

AND WHEREAS the above-noted Affidavit was supported by a Schedule entitled "Sarnia-Amoco Wholesale Propane Posted Price", which Schedule indicated that propane acquisition costs had decreased by 0.55 cent per litre effective 31 January 1995, had increased by 0.40 cent per litre effective 8 March 1995, had decreased by 0.80 cent per litre effective 12 April 1995, had increased by 0.70 cent per litre effective 2 May 1995, had decreased by 0.45 cent per litre on 31 May 1995 and had decreased again on 17 July 1995 by 0.65 cent per litre for a net decrease of 1.35 cents per litre;

AND WHEREAS the Applicant submitted with its application a Schedule which indicated currently authorized prices as well as proposed prices;

AND WHEREAS the Commission considered this Application and supporting documentation this date;

THE COMMISSION HEREBY ORDERS that the propane prices to be charged by Superior Propane Inc., effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, 18 August 1995 be decreased by 1.35 cents per litre, in accordance with Appendix "A" to this Order, and these prices shall remain in effect until otherwise ordered by the Commission.

AND THE COMMISSION FURTHER ORDERS that a copy of each of the invoices for the next delivery of propane to Superior following the effective dates of the decreases and increases in propane acquisition costs, as indicated previously, be submitted to the Commission on or before 25 August 1995.
