IN THE MATTER of an application by Maritime Electric Company, Limited for a variance to Commission Order UE93-6.

BEFORE THE COMMISSION

Order

WHEREAS Maritime Electric Company, Limited (the "Company") has applied to the Commission for an amendment to Order UE93-6 to modify the requirement to file information on the Company's leases and to extend the filing deadline;

AND WHEREAS it appears to the Commission that the proposal and extension to the filing deadline are warranted;

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission Act and the Electric Power and Telephone Act

IT IS ORDERED THAT

1. Paragraph 14 of Commission Order UE93-6 is revoked and the following substituted therefor:

14. The Company shall file with the Commission on or before August 31, 1993 a proposal for filing information on assets leased in 1992 and expected to be leased in 1993, including a description of the asset, the amount of the lease, the reason for leasing the asset and such other information as may be appropriate.
