UPON the application of Maritime Electric Company, Limited (the "Company") for an amendment to the 1993 Capital Budget to approve additional expenditures related to the Slemon Park distribution system;

AND UPON it appearing to the Commission that the expenditure is within the best interests of the Company and its customers;

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission Act and the Electric Power and Telephone Act

IT IS ORDERED THAT

1. Expenditures related to the purchase and upgrading of the Slemon Park distribution system are approved up to the following amounts:

purchase price: $50,000;

capital additions: $150,000.
