NOTICE OF PROPOSAL Rural Municipality of Central Prince

NOTICE
that the
Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") has received a proposal to restructure
the rural municipalities of Lady Slipper and Ellerslie-Bideford (the
“Proposal”) pursuant to section 15 of the
Municipal Government Act, RSPEI 1988, c M-12.1 (the "Act"). BACKGROUND The applicants propose to
restructure the rural municipalities of Lady Slipper and Ellerslie-Bideford
to create the Rural Municipality of Central Prince. The Proposal states that existing
municipalities and unincorporated areas which may be affected include the
incorporated municipalities of Lot 11 and Area and Tyne Valley. Unincorporated communities in the
surrounding area which may be affected include Northam, Richmond, St-Hubert,
St-Philippe, St-Chrysostome, and West Devon. The Proposal states that the
estimated population of the proposed rural municipality is approximately
1,112 individuals. The proposed rural municipality

OBJECT OR COMMENT Any individual or municipality wishing to object to
the proposal can do so by submitting Form MGA-MR-2 (Objection to a Proposal
to Establish, Restructure, Dissolve a Municipality) (the "Objection Form")
to the Commission prior to Monday, August 6, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. The Objection Form can be

the Proposal, other than to object, may submit written comments to the
