NOTICE OF PROPOSALS Rural Municipality of North Shore
TAKE
NOTICE
that the
Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the "Commission") has received
two propposals related to the Rural Municipality of Norh Shore, as well as
the rural municipalities of Grand Tracadie and Pleasant Grove pursuant to section 15 of the
Municipal Government Act, RSPEI 1988, c M-12.1 (the "Act"). PROPOSAL A - RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH SHORE The applicants propose to restructure the rural municipalities of North Shore, Grand Tracadie and Pleasant Grove to create the Rural Municipality of North Shore. The Proposal states that existing municipalities and unincorporated areas which may be affected include Millcove, Suffolk, York, Union Road, Tracadie Cross, Harrington, and Brackley Beach. The Proposal states that the
estimated population of the proposed rural municipality is approximately
2,080 individuals. PROPOSAL B - ANNEXATION OF PID 141135
The applicant Rural Municipality of North Shore
proposes to annex a parcel of land (PID# 141135) totalling approximately
sixty acres of land and owned by Roger
MacLauchlan.The applicant requests that the parcel of land form part of the
restructured Rural Municipality of North Shore proposed in Proposal A. MAP OF AFFECTED AREA The proposed rural municipality

to Establish, Restructure, Dissolve a Municipality) (the "Objection Form")
to the Commission prior to Friday, August 10, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. The Objection Form can be

the Proposals, other than to object, may submit written comments to the
